The quality of the machines that your developers use is really important because it has a direct impact on their productivity. If one calculates the cost of a highly paid engineer who wastes time by waiting for a slow machine this is a no-brainer. Unfortunately corporate bureaucracy often thwarts common sense. Luckily I don’t use the iSloth very often (it’s not a Mac).
