What I learned today — 18 January

I can’t multi-task, but I knew that already — oh! new message!

But in all seriousness, I learned (again) that interruptions kill productivity. Too much thrashing and before you know it a day has passed and very few or none of your objectives have been met. Limiting distractions truly is the key to being productive.

On a more positive note: Today I was interviewed by one of my colleagues in our marketing team to create a case study of our current project. I’ve seen before how putting pen to paper can really bring a lot of clarity and creativity, but I didn’t know that a good interviewer as well as a focused discussion can have a similar effect. Through the interview I was able to clearly articulate what we’re doing, why we are doing it, and how different aspects relate to each other.
